An 85 m² penthouse in the Eixample for a young couple
The brief was a penthouse that felt bright, warm and easy to live in every day. We worked with soft forms and natural materials that contrast with the angular geometry of the roof.
Soft forms
Curved lines in the furniture and in some elements of the interior architecture soften the junctions and make the space feel calmer.
Lime and oak
The walls are finished in textured lime paint, whose uneven surface catches the light differently throughout the day. Oak, used for the floor and the bespoke furniture, brings warmth and ties the rooms together.
Layout
The plan was opened up to make the most of the light and views that come with a penthouse. The living room, integrated kitchen, main bedroom and a small study area are distinct without being closed off.
The kitchen is by Armony Cucine, with furniture by Zalf, Laminam surfaces and Avawood flooring.
